    CMSgt Charles “Chuck” W. Frizzell is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 59th Medical Wing, Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, Texas. He serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the 59th Medical Wing Commander, overseeing the Air Force’s largest medical wing consisting of over 8,000 personnel manning 7 groups across 4 installations. He is responsible for the health, welfare, morale, and professional development of the wing’s 3,500 member enlisted force. In addition, Chief Frizzell champions the wing’s multi-pronged mission of providing worldwide contingency healthcare support, home station comprehensive healthcare services, clinical research, graduate medical education, and enlisted medical force technical training for 16 of the 19 Air Force enlisted medical career fields – more than 12,000 trainees per year – to enhance worldwide mission readiness. He serves on the Medical Education and Training Campus Board of Directors, overseeing 48 training programs and 18,500 graduates annually. Chief Frizzell advises the director of the San Antonio Military Health System on health care delivery and support to more than 240,000 beneficiaries in 11 medical treatment facilities, with a $1.2 billion budget, in the San Antonio metropolitan area.

CMSgt Frizzell entered the Air Force in February 1992. He has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, group, wing, and major command levels. His assignments include locations in Colorado, California, Virginia and Texas. The chief also served overseas in the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom and Japan, and has deployed on multiple occasions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN.
