59th Medical Wing Reopens Satellite Pharmacy on JBSA Lackland

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas --

The 59th Medical Wing reopened the doors to the satellite pharmacy located on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, June 11, 2018.

The facility is located next to the Base Exchange serving as an alternative option for the 240,000 beneficiaries in the San Antonio metropolitan area and is expected to serve more than 300 patients per day.

The renovations included expanding the lobby area for patients and improving the working area for staff.

“In this new facility, it’s easier for patients to get what they need and for my co-workers to provide the services needed,” said Staff Sgt. Jessica Livingston, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the pharmacy.

The pharmacy is open to all Tricare-eligible patients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with a pick up only services on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
