The 59th Medical Support Group provides world-class medical support at the Air Force's flagship Ambulatory Surgical Center. With a $135 million annual operations budget, the group supports the 59th Medical Wing with logistics, readiness, TRICARE operations, patient administration, information systems, and the consolidated commanders' support staff functions.
The 59th MDSG delivers comprehensive pharmacy, medical laboratory, and nutritional medicine services to 240,000 regional beneficiaries, manages 15 graduate medical education and nursing programs, and operates the Department of Defense's largest blood donor center. Additionally, the group's Airman Medical Transition Unit provides administrative oversight and supervision to Airmen recovering from combat and non-combat related injuries and illnesses.
